Since fleas, ticks, mites and other ectoparasites may thrive in areas where birds nest and their droppings collect, pest control is often a necessary follow-up, particularly if pigeon control services have been performed. If birds have been allowed access to building entry points, it is also possible that rodent extermination services are needed. In addition, bird infestations can also contaminate air ducts when nesting, increasing the need for more regular air duct cleaning and sanitation.
