Bird Control & Removal
It’s true, birds are beautiful creatures. However, bird control services become necessary when their presence becomes a nuisance and even a health or structural risk. For many commercial buildings, food distribution centers, and multi-family housing units, bird control and bird removal are common and necessary property management services. Alpha Ecological also provides bird exclusion services for residential properties.
Pigeon control is perhaps the most widely requested bird control service although Alpha Ecological provides deterrent and bird removal services for a variety of birds such as sparrows, crows, starlings, swallows, gulls and more. It is important to note that “bird pest control” is not the same as regular pest control services. Bird control services may include:
- Bird/Nest Removal & Relocation—trapping and relocation
- Bird & Nest Relocation
- Feces Removal/Pressure Washing & Decontamination of Area
- Bird Exclusion—bird netting installation.
- Bird Deterrent—installation of materials such as spikes, motion detection sensors and visual/auditory deterrent systems.
We do not provide bird extermination services; however, we do provide pest control, air duct cleaning and property maintenance services which are often needed along with bird control services. Since fleas, ticks, mites and other ectoparasites may thrive in areas where birds nest and their droppings collect, pest control is often a necessary follow-up, particularly if pigeon control services have been performed. If birds have been allowed access to building entry points, it is also possible that rodent extermination services are needed. In addition, bird infestations can also contaminate air ducts when nesting, increasing the need for more regular air duct cleaning and sanitation.
